Jennings County and World NASP, Bruce Rennemeier

Several students from the summer archery league traveled to Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida for the first ever World NASP tournament.  Students were from Brush Creek Elementary, Jennings Co. Middle School, and Jennings Co. High School.  These schools were not able to send complete teams, but were gracious enough to allow students time off so they could compete as individuals.

Brush Creek students:
Justin Rennemeier shot a 188 for a #32 ranking
Brandon Koors shot a 241 for a #17 ranking

Jennings Co. Middle School students:
Hannah Rennemeier shot a 273 for a #6 ranking
Ian Melton shot a 242 for a #32 ranking
Devin Koors shot a 257 for a #19 ranking

Jennings Co. High School students:
Cassie Koors shot a 223 for a #34 ranking
Dalton Day shot a 250 for a #25 ranking

"As their coach for this tournament, I was very proud of each student.  Each one showed good attitude and sportsmanship...they did Jennings County proud.  I'm sure they will be a great asset to their school teams."

The High School Archery team will have their first meeting  on October 27 at 5:00 p.m. in the Vernon Baptist Church Family Life Center.  For more information, call Bruce Rennemeier at 873-8222.

We will be shooting several tournaments throughout the year, including county, state, and national.

"It has been such a joy watching these kids grow and improve their archery skills.   NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program)  is such an awesome program and Jennings County is well on the way to having some of the strongest competitors!"
